The parents of our gymnasts have the wonderful opportunity to view what goes on during their children’s gymnastics classes. This image only captures a third of the Los Angeles School of Gymnastics Training floor. How many different olympic activities can you see going on in this picture?

I see…

1.) A Boys Team member on the Still Rings!

2.) A gymnast running on the runway about to jump into the foam pit!

3.) A gymnast on the trampoline!

4.) Girls Beginning class waiting their turn on the uneven bars!

Do you see anything I don't? COMMENT to let me know what I've missed!

It gives me great joy to see our gymnasts parents observing their children intently. Our gymnasts work hard to reach their gymnastic capabilities and to learn new techniques. Today, I had the opportunity to ask a few of our parents for feedback, and they loved seeing their children perform!

Our gymnasts are in their element when they practice, stretch and condition, I doubt they realize whether or not their parents are even in the building!

The Los Angeles School of Gymnastics would like to thank you for choosing us for your gymnastics needs. But why gymnastics? Why are you involved with us? Chances are your parents made you, you were drawn to it, or maybe your just curious.

The real reason gymnastics is so popular is because of its amazing benefits!

Gymnastics offers physical and mental benefits! Not only are you strong and flexible, but you're likely smarter and more aware of your environments! Studies have shown that individuals who engage in gymnastics are more disciplined in their everyday routine.

This sport we all know and love is the basics of all sports. Did you know that?!

Gymnastics stretches the body, increases endurance and physical strength, and trains the body for more rigorous and intense sports.

Benefits of being a Gymnast:

Strongest and most Flexible of all athletes
High intensity for short performances (avg. performance time is 90 seconds)
Variety of movements, not repetitive as it may seem
More upper body strength than most other athletes
Can fall without injury (roll/ fall training)
Smallest and lightest of all athletes
Least amount of accidents/hospitalizations
High GPA's/good students
Greater understanding of Physics via opportunity to perform elements
